Your wedding is a
very special day. It's a day of celebration, a day of joy. It's a
day you will want to remember for the rest of your life. If you
value great photography and want relaxed, natural looking wedding
photographs taken in the reportage style, read on....
Mere snapshots cannot do a
wedding justice, and large format photographs are often too formal
and posed. We want your wedding images not to be staged, but to
impart realism and reflect the tone of the celebration itself.
Bill's perspective brings a collection of photographs that is both a
personal and comprehensive reportage of the day with a combination
of candid moments and traditional formals. Each wedding is a worthy
story in which Bill seeks to tell a photographic story with a
distinct sense of artistry. We realize it takes a remarkable
affinity for people, expressions, and locations to be a superb
photographer of weddings. We feel it also involves passion that is
about being in the moment. And so many moments make up a wedding
day, in which translate into passionate images. Bill finds
nothing more inspiring then the coming together of two families, the
celebration of love, for the purpose of a happy future. He is
honored that each bride includes him in the momentous occasion.

Coverage is tailored to your needs,
based on consultation meetings before the event. Typically, we will
spend the entire day with you, not just a few hours. Depending on
the coverage you select, we photograph the preparations and the
celebration at the reception, as well as the ceremony.
Although our main aim is to document
your day as unobtrusively as possible, we recognize that we also
have a responsibility as family historians and that formal portraits
are an important part of this. We will work with you to complete
these as quickly and easily as possible. You may also wish to make
use of the beautiful location at the ceremony site or reception
venue for some very special portraits; again, we will help you plan
an appropriate amount of time to create the images you want.
To keep Bill's enthusiasm and
creativity levels high, he only photographs one wedding on any day,
so his availability is strictly limited. All bookings are secured on
a "first come" basis, and are reserved by payment of a
non-refundable retainer. Please contact
us as soon as possible to secure your
date.

don't need "eyes" to see, you need "vision." An
Artists vision is a gift from God, which must be shared to have
life. What we do with our vision is our gift to God."
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Do you tell us what shots to do and where? We have
one basic philosophy when it comes to weddings. It is YOUR
day, so we collaborate. Obviously each person is
different, with different personalities, different styles, etc.
So, when you book with us, we have you compile a tear sheet book
of images that you are attracted to. We do this, because
style and art can be difficult for some people to explain, so it
puts your vision forward to us. We then take the book as a
starting point to flourish with ideas that will make your
portraits unique and beautiful!
2.Do you sell the negatives of images? We do have
packages available that will provide all of your images on dvd.
We do not sell the negatives them selves for various reasons, but
most importantly, safety of your images. We take great care in
the archival of negatives. Dvd's can be remade, where if a
negative were destroyed, it's gone.
3. What safety measures do you take to protect our images once
they are photographed? After careful scrutiny of the industry
standard in backing images up we have decided that it is just not
safe enough. So, once the images are photographed, digital
images are uploaded to three machines. One being a handheld
digital hard drive, and two computers. All negatives are sent
by registered mail so that they are in a mail persons hand at all
time and not left in heat or cold. Then the images are
uploaded to our online lab who in turn makes permanent archives of
these images. So, if something were to happen to the studio
and the file was lost, we would have the backups permanently kept
off site in California.
4. How flexible are your packages and do you accept payments?
We offer custom packaging after realizing that as different as each
couple are, the all require very different things in the end.
So, talk to us about what your budget is and what things you need as
an end result. In turn we will work out a package just for
you! We also offer a monthly payment plan as we know how
expensive it is to create the wedding of your dreams.
5. Will you be our wedding photographer? The
photographer you meet with, Bill Watts or Karen Brown will be the
photographer for your day. We have no hidden identities that
will show up, everything is very upfront and you choose which
photographer fits your needs for your day. Then that
photographer signs the contract. We find the act of showing
one photographers work and sending another photographer to the event
when it is not the case of a medical emergency reprehensible.
6. What happens if you are ill and can't make it to the
wedding? As a member of Professional Photographers of
Washington and aAmerica, we have great resource of wonderful
photographers to contact in the event something happens that
disallows Bill or Karen to make it to your wedding.
7. What kind of equipment do you use? Bill uses various
kinds of cameras, beause each offers a different perspective.
Most commonly he shoots candid moments with a 35mm. Portraits
are photographed in medium format with a Hassleblad and a Pentax
camera. We also on occasion include art print by using a
polaroid manipulation technique.
